Bilingual talks and a round-table discussion featuring:
- *Chris Turner,* keynote & award-winning author of The War On Science
- *Dr. Katie Gibbs*, scientist & Executive Director of Evidence for
Democracy
- *Mike De Souza*, freelance environment & science journalist
- *Ethan Cox*, MC, journalist & Senior Partner at CauseComms
Panellists will connect the dots between recent budget cuts to research,
muzzling of government scientists, and the concerted dismantling of
Canada's long-standing traditions of leadership in natural science and
environmental stewardship.
The event will be live streamed (stay tuned to Facebook event
page<https://www.facebook.com/events/631188183627323/> for
the link). There's a lot of media attention brewing, i.e., journalists and
interviews from the Gazette, CBC, CKUT and McGill papers. Limited seating
so arrive early.
This is also be the official Quebec book launch of 'Science, on coupe!'.
Both English and French versions will be available for purchase.
Special thanks to the McGill Biology Graduate Students Association, Biology
Dept., Geography Dept., and Faculty of Science for co-sponsoring the event.

Science, on coupe!
Biology Dept., Geography Dept., and Faculty of Science de co-parraine
l'événement.
