A big +1 to this. For anyone who remembers when it was still possible
to register a domain with Internic without paying up-front, the domain
squatters would register everything they could think of and this was
incredibly at odds with the whole architecture of DNS. There are shades
of that in the "register a new domain for each idea" - its not abusive
in the same way, but it is still not good engineering practice. I fully
support the likes of Google who try to use their position to encourage
behaviour that follows the principles upon which the Internet was 
founded.
