[okfn-discuss] Rebooting our ideas space as a Trello board

Hi All,

I've really missed having a space for *suggesting and discussing new ideas
and activities* since we had to retire http://ideas.okfn.org/ last year [1].

I'v therefore just booted as an experimental replacement a Trello board as
part of a new public Trello organization for Open Knowledge Foundation
Network <https://trello.com/okfn>:

https://trello.com/board/ideas/5183bdd42f8056ea7800360c

Trello is pretty simple and allows us to permit commenting and voting by
anyone.

However, it does have one major *drawback *(atm) - it does *not* allow
non-organization members to create cards. To get round this, if you are not
yet a "member" you'll just have to submit the idea as a
comment<https://trello.com/card/please-suggest-an-idea-here/5183bdd42f8056ea7800360c/1>
and
it will get turned into a card (and you into a member) asap.

So, please *jump in and add ideas* - anything from having an irc
bot<https://trello.com/card/set-up-an-irc-bot-e-g-hubot-for-okfn-irc/5183bdd42f8056ea7800360c/2>
to
organizing a regular hangout for peer assistance among the
community<https://trello.com/card/a-regular-hangout-for-peer-assistance-among-the-community/5183bdd42f8056ea7800360c/3>
.

Regards,

Rufus
