[okfn-discuss] A start on recording which works will enter the public domain in 2014 in author's death + 70 years countries

Hi Chris,

Wikidata should be able to do great things with this next year, but it
hasn't got a full set of birth/death dates imported yet. This query
would, if the data was present, find all people with occupation
(writer, artist, author, composer, professor, university professor)
who died in 1943:

http://tools.wmflabs.org/wikidata-todo/autolist.html?q=CLAIM%5B106%3A36180%2C106%3A482980%2C106%3A483501%2C106%3A36834%2C106%3A121594%2C106%3A1622272%5D%20AND%20BETWEEN%5B570%2C1943-01-01%2C1943-12-31%5D

For the toolserver one, this is an updated version of the
category-intersection script which runs a lot faster:

http://tools.wmflabs.org/catscan2/quick_intersection.php?lang=en&project=wikipedia&cats=1943+deaths%0D%0AWriters&ns=0&depth=3&max=30000&start=0&format=html&callback=&norun

Andrew.
