Dear members of the worldwide OK Community,

At Open Steps (http://www.open-steps.org/) we have been working during
the last year on a directory (http://directory.open-steps.org) that
helps mapping the different individuals and organizations working on
Open Knowledge initiatives worldwide. The aim is to increase visibility
for OK projects and facilitate collaboration across borders.

Recently, we have released a new version which uses PLP Profiles
(http://github.com/hackers4peace/plp-docs) as base for profile managing.
PLP is an Open Source project using Open Web standards and common
vocabularies for creating/editing basic public contact information which
can be hosted/listed/represented in a decentralized manner.

Currently, discussion about future development of this directory and PLP
project is taking place here:

and here
http://discuss.okfn.org/t/open-science-open-knowledge-directory/95/3.
Documentation takes place here:

A doodle poll has been setup for more detailed discussion and we
encourage anyone interested in collaborating in this project ( Not only
developers but designers and anyone willing to provide feedback and
ideas) is welcome to join it: http://doodle.com/b8mynb728arcn428

Greetings from Berlin,

Alex Corbi
