[okfn-discuss] okfn-discuss Digest, Vol 114, Issue 10

I can't speak for mySociety, but as I understand it dedicated funding
for the Poplus network itself goes through this month. As folks really
seem to love this form of collaboration, I see mySociety, FCI,
E-Democracy, etc. all collaborating and I would like to see some
dedicated funding go into the network itself ... but that will need to
come from new sources.

As one of the collaborators on the proposal to bring this to
Minnesota, as a very small NGO, we would not be able to do this
without funding. So, if this "wins" it would bring YourNextMP code and
the WORK required to deploy it to places where no funding exists to
make it happen. If mySociety is a back office for generating much of
the tech, the other side is creating a crowd-sourcing community and
developing media partnerships in Argentina, Guatemala, Minnesota, etc.
through grass roots local partners.

I hope this is helpful.
