Yes, at least in theory: you can send around a "Revision" (recordings:
who, when + log message) together with the relevant object diffs.
Alternatively by simply updating a package whether via the site or via
the API you implicitly create a Revision and an associated diff object
(PackageRevision object).

I hadn't seen that but it's interesting! One minor thing I note is
that, despite its claims, couchdb very much isn't distributed (at
