[okfn-help] Preventing anonymous account creation + usage of trac?

Hi all,

We are getting spam messages, tickets and accounts on trac. Just
deleted a bunch of spam users.

As trac is probably not one of our highest traffic services - nor is
it going to be - suggest we lock down registration and anonymous
usage? Chances are if someone's using it - they probably got
introduced to it by someone at OKF. And hence only a time bit of time
to create them an account. Much like adding people to Wordpress
multi-site blogs.

Same with editing tickets. I would guess that most people who use it
are probably logged in anyway. If they aren't logged in and they are
part of OKF community - we probably want to encourage them to register
so we know who has said what on which tickets. (E.g. we don't want an
anonymous edit saying a ticket is closed - as we want to be able to go
back and ask someone about it if there's an issue or a follow up
item!).

What do people think?
