Hi Rufus,

I see you've already responded to this. Anything I can do to help it along?

Do we have an established procedure for adding translations e.g. peer
review? Will happily write them up and add them to the handbook if so
:)

Lucy

Dear Open Knowledge Foundation,

My name is Tatsuya Hagino.  I am a professor at Keio University [1] in
Japan.  We are currently planning to hold a Linked Open Data (LOD)
Challenge Contest in Japan.  LOD, as you may know, is to open up data
publicly using Semantic Web technology, so that people can use and
integrate data easily.  This LOD challenge contest is to promote LOD
activities in Japan.

For this LOD challenge contest, we have formed an LOD challenge
committee with more than 30 volunteers from academic and industry.  In
the course of preparation, we have translated your Open Definition [2]
into Japanese in order to use it to show contestants the definition of
'open' in this contest.  I have attached the translated open
definition with this mail.  We would very much like it to be put on
your Web site so that Japanese people can access the definition
easily.  Please let me know the format we need to follow in order for
the translation and other things which we need to know.  Thank you
very much.
