[okfn-labs] Data Packager - a web app for tabular data packages

I think the community (i.e. you!) need to take the lead on this. Try
the Data Packager out, maybe install your own, find bugs, decide what
extra features would be nice to have. I think the best approach, if
you have an idea for a feature you want to implement or some changes
you want to make, would be to start by opening an issue at
https://github.com/ckan/ckanext-datapackager/issues to discuss, find
out whether the pull request is likely to be accepted and get a plan
for implementing it. Then start writing code!

Having said that, when I get a chance I'll open issues for the feature
ideas and known issues that we have already. Ping me if I forget.

Data Packager is built using CKAN (it's implemented as a CKAN plugin,
albeit one that changes some aspects of CKAN pretty heavily). We did
this because we got a lot of the features we needed "for free" from
CKAN and saved time by not re-implementing them, so we could move on
with the more interesting features like the schema browser and editor.

The data packages that you create using Data Packager aren't tied to
CKAN or Data Packager though - they'e standard tabular data packages.
