Hello OKFN South Africa!

I thought it was high time I introduced myself on here - I'm Kat
Braybrooke, London-based community coordinator on the OKFN core team and
your OKFN:LOCAL support hub for future Local Group happenings.

As our international network expands in size, my aim is to make Local
Groups feel like a real part of the team - and my first priority right now
is to hear what you've been up to since we haven't yet been acquainted. I'd
like to update your information on the public OKFN webpage [
okfn.org/chapters], get you connected with our OKFest planning [
okfestival.org] and make you feel welcomed by the rest of the global OKFN
family.

Given this, I'd be very grateful if you could provide the following:

- The names of the core South Africa organisers who can serve as contact
people for future collaborations, and who can commit to meeting the other
OKFN:LOCAL organisers on our Skype catch-up calls once a month.
- An update on whether you have a website and wiki (such as those found on
gr.okfn.org and be.wiki.okfn.org), and whether there are any other virtual
tools you think would be useful in your work.
- An update on your most recent meetups, events and ideas.

It's great to e-meet you and I look forward to supporting your work in a
greater capacity in the future. Whether it's through sharing your upcoming
events with the rest of the OKFN network, connecting you with other
community organisers and projects in other regions, or just saying hello on
IRC, I'm here.

:) Kat
