Hi Ross,

I think your complains are a little bit misdirected. What you see is a
part of so-called added value to existing users of ReadCube (they have
nice apps for PCs and mobile systems) which allow, among other things,
to see your annotations made in other system on "the original" PDF you
are attempting to download through RC system.

The real problem I have with ReadCube is that the whole system of
storing annotations and references is closed - you cannot export your
annotations and export options for bibliography are limited. RC is a
closed silo, that you can leave but without your content.

Technical glitches aside, this is not-so-friendly marketing strategy
of completely unacceptable business model. I would rather complain
about the latter, than the former.
