Dear all,
I am afraid that most of you read the news about the suicide of Aaron
Swartz. Several of his friends have written about him. I can only
suggest you to read the post by Jonathan Gray, that explains very well
why his life and legacy matter to all of us:
http://blog.okfn.org/2013/01/14/goodbye-aaron-swartz-and-long-live-your-legacy/
Most of us have an academic background so I would like to highlight one
excerpt from Jonathan's post:
> In tribute, hundreds of academics have started tweeting links to
> their research papers using the hashtag #pdftribute.
I leave to each of you whether to join this #pdftribute.
Some of us have expressed their feelings about Aaron's death and the
absurd charges he was facing (Larry Lessig wrote about this, linked
from Jonathan above):

Whatever your feelings are, I just wanted to say: do not let this
tragedy be without a meaning for those of us still alive. May Aaron's
legacy live in our future.
Ciao
Stefano
