David

I will have a look later, but just to clarify that the people doing the consultation have told us a few times that they don't expect any single group to engage with all the questions. They wanted feedback in any shape or form.

Our response is undergoing final checks, but we will also make it public.

Javier

Hi all

For info - I've just put up a blog with NCVO's response to the Making
Open Data Real consultation.

ing-open-data-real-consultation-response

In a sense it's not a "proper" consultation response - we haven't been
able to answer the 26 questions in the consultation, and we haven't had
the opportunities that we would have liked to find out what our members
think about it. But I hope it adds something to the debate.

We had a particular internal debate about whether voluntary
organisations should be obliged to publish data as part of their
contracts to provide public services. In the end, we've tried to set out
the pros and cons for either way, and asked for further consultation in
this area. Again, this is something that we'd be really interested in
discussing further with NCVO members.

Interested in any comments on the response, and also interested in
seeing any other responses out there.

Thanks
Dave
