Hi all,

New to this list, Christian Villum suggested I posted my suggestions
here. Let me start by saying I applaud this initiative, it' great and
necessary, and empowering.

Coming from a spatial / geodata background, I would like to draw
attention to some data classes that are critically important to
spatial analysis and generally useful: address / parcel data. In the
OpenStreetMap community - at least here in the United States, we are
currently trying to collect all public sources of such information for
potential inclusion (import) into OpenStreetMap, and it would make
sense to consolidate efforts in some way, or at least be aware of each
other's work. The effort is on github:
https://github.com/osmlab/addresses/ which is probably the best way to
get in touch with the driving forces behind it.

Final note, bing from Salt Lake City I am happy to see that our local
Open Data community has done a good job collecting information on our
city :)
