[open-data-day] Help available for those hacking on Socrata-powered data

All -

I just want to raise my hand and make it known that, along with running the
Seattle event, I'll be available to help people get started using the
Socrata Open Data API if they're working against datasets on
Socrata-powered datasites. Our platform runs the data sharing sites of
about 30 municipalities, states, federal agencies, and even countries
around the world, and all of the data hosted on those data sites is
available via a common API.

We also have a free site available at http://opendata.socrata.com that you
can use to host your data and access it via the same APIs. Its free for
non-commerical use and easy to sign up and get started.

So, if you're working on data from opendata.socrata.com or one of the sites
below, and you need some help getting started or have any questions, feel
free to email me at chris.metcalf at socrata.com or catch me in the IRC chat
room (irc://irc.oftc.net/#odhd) as "metcalf". We also have developer
resources available at http://dev.socrata.com, and code samples on Github
under http://github.com/socrata and http://github.com/chrismetcalf.
