I just wanted to drop a quick email to the list to let everybody know that
I'm putting together an event in Seattle. It'll be hosted in Pioneer Square
at Socrata's offices. It'll be a casual affair, but I'm going to see if I
can get some of our friends from the City of Seattle and King County to
stop by and visit to see what we're working on.
- Blog post with details:

- Eventbrite signup: http://oghd-seattle.eventbrite.com/
I'm planning on hacking on restaurant inspection data, but the table is
pretty open to whatever people are interested in working on.
I'll also be making myself available to those who need help with getting
started with the Socrata Open Data APIs that power US Data.gov, the City of
New York, City of Seattle, City of Chicago, World Bank Finance, Open Kenya
and many, many other datasites. I'll be available on the IRC channel as
"metcalf" and also by email at chris.metcalf at socrata.com.
Thanks,
Chris Metcalf
