Hey All #ODHD13 Peoples-

I wanted to drop in and announce an alternative to the many code-heavy
hackathons that will be happening on/around Open Data Day.

I'm working with a few people at PLoS/OKFN/P2PU to put together an
"Introduction to Open Science" course on the Peer to Peer University
platform. The module plan is being developed, and I'll be posting the
organizing documents for any interested parties to check out, but it would
great to have local and remote participants help flesh out the course
during a "course sprint" on Fri Feb 22nd or Sat Feb 23rd. The hope is that
course will be ready to roll for Open Education Week in March, though the
primary build-out will take place on Open Data Day.

Details have been posted to the events wiki here:

Feel free to get in contact with me if you have resources that could be
included or ideas for activities that would align with the basics of Open
Science/Data. If you're in the Bay Area, I'm also entertaining the idea of
hosting in-person attendees here at the Creative Commons HQ in Mountain
View.

Best,

Billy
