Hi Alex,
Sorry not to have got back to you sooner, I didn't check my emails over the
weekend I'm afraid.
Great idea to have a translation party! That's a new concept to me, how did
it go? Is it still ongoing? If it was a positive experience and you felt
like sharing it with the world, we would love to feature a post about it on
our blog :)
You ask a very good question about glossary terms. We are aware of this
issue, and have written up notes on the process here:
http://wiki.okfn.org/Projects/Open_Data_Handbook#Translator
(linked from 'Translation help pages' on Transifex). I know it hasn't been
done properly on several of the current 'live' translations - I intend to
go back in and edit those as soon as I get a chance. But if you follow this
model when doing your new translation, all the links should work first time.
I'm more concerned about the missing strings you mentioned in your next
email. No-one has flagged that up as an issue before. I will get someone to
look into that asap.
Thanks again for your excellent work, and do let me know if you have any
further questions. And let me know if you'd be interested in writing that
post!
All the best,
Laura
