_MESSAGE FROM KARIN_
On Wednesday last week the [2]International Aid Transparency Initiative
(IATI) Standard was [3]agreed; the biggest advance we have made to date. The
detailed [4]standard that sets out what and how aid information will be made
available will be published in the next few weeks.

The agreement of this standard means that now, more information will be
better information. With this common approach the investments donors are
already making in producing aid information will deliver greater access,
vastly increasing the impact and use of that information.
While a number of donors are making rapid progress in implementation, the
UK's [5]Department for International Development should be
particularly [6]congratulated for being the first to publish their data in
line with the new standard; more about their experience of doing so can be
found [7]here. We look forward to seeing other donors' implementation
schedules for the standard which are due on 31^st March.

If you haven’t already, do check out [8]'Full Disclosure', the new aid
transparency blog on the Devex site which is bringing different points of
view together for a discussion of the practical possibilities and challenges
of aid transparency. If you would like to contribute a post, please email
