[open-economics] Getting involved in a working group

Hi all,

have been following this with interest, I have a resource economics
background. It might be worth mentioning some relevant literature at this
point to structure the oil contract problem a bit. From what I saw of what
had been done on this already there seemed little connection to the
economic literature on the subject. However, the database of contracts
seems very useful. Some literature that appears relevant (apologies it's
not open access):

 http://www.jstor.org/stable/1803310
http://jleo.oxfordjournals.org/content/15/2/526.short

There is of-course another way of thinking about oil contracts which is in
terms of contracts in the commodities markets (e.g. the ICE) but the link
to the contracts database suggested this literature to me. The original
attempt seemed to be vague as to what type of contract was being considered.

Best wishes

Rodney Beard
