[Open-education] Drivers of Open Data in Education

This blog post does a nice job bringing forward to definitions for how 
to think about personal data, open data and big data.

He suggests that open data has 'drivers' (economic, transparency and 
open government)
I am not sure about the value of the analysis but certainly it is an 
attempt to think about this.

It would be nice to discuss possibly what people think might be some of 
the drivers of open data in education ?
