The Associate Director of Learning Experience will work as a member of the
Learning Technology leadership team in Ohio State’s Office of Distance
Education and eLearning, reporting to the Associate Vice President. The
Associate Director is responsible for envisioning and building high impact,
campus-wide programs to expand the reach of educational technology. (S)he
will work with leaders across campus to inspire excitement and build
participation in Learning Technology initiatives and will measure and share
the impacts of this work on student learning. The Associate Director will
manage a fast-paced team focused on inspiring innovative instruction
through technology-enhanced learning. This team also fosters community
development through partnerships that feature inspirational work from in
and outside the classroom. *The Associate Director will lead Ohio State’s
focus on issues of affordability and access in higher education as they
relate to digital pedagogy and publishing, with a focus on Open Educational
Resources (OER).* Direct report lines include digital publishing (iBooks
and ePubs), OER, Digital Unions (student multimedia computer labs), active
learning spaces, Innovate Conference and more. The position will provide
vision and leadership to ensure an outstanding customer experience for ODEE
services, programs, and initiatives department-wide. By leading with clear,
open, and positive communication, the Associate Director will ensure teams
from ODEE and Ohio State collaborate exceptionally well with each other,
and with local, national, and global communities to develop high-impact
programs and partnerships that extend ODEE’s reach across campus and beyond.
