Dear Colleagues,

1   I would like to bring you up to date on the follow up to our discussion
of an OER World Map.   As you know, there was a Phase 1 funding from the
Hewlett Foundation of three projects to create sample prototypes.  We are
now moving to the next phase and the Request for Proposal (RFP) for Phase 2
of the project.

Please share this message (or the one from Kathy Nicholson appended below)
with your colleagues and networks to spread the word about the RFP.

2   *Now we have an opportunity to discuss the work done to date or to
comment or collaborate on the RFP for Phase 2!  Please do so on this list,
which is now open for discussion.*

3   The previous RFP at the end of 2013 resulted in the awarding of three
grants to develop a prototype map and to present the work to the OER
Grantees Meeting in April.  It was an excellent session with three
presentations and then a lively discussion.  All the documents are

4   Finally, on our behalf I want to warmly thank Kathy Nicholson of the
Hewlett Foundation for her support and her ever cheerful, helpful and

supporting the work now - Cathy has a long vision on the OER movement and
on our collective goals.

but in all of your OER efforts.
