[Open-education] Fwd: [okfn-discuss] OKFestival 2014 Provisional Programme is now live! Check it out, join us & share!

Hi Everyone,

There was some really tough competition out there but it looks like we 
have managed to get two Open Education sessions on the OkFestival agenda.

  * Open Educational Resources and Policy: Overview and Connections to
    Others - I think this is going to be run by Creative Commons people
  * Open Education Smörgåsbord -- Marieke Guy (Open Knowledge), Alek
    Tarkowski, Tom Salmon, Kristina Anderson, Miska Knapek, Darya Tarasowa

There are also lots of sessions on open science, open access, open 
coalition, open development and a whole host of other open sessions!! 
People are now starting to plan fringe events so potentially lots more 
stuff of interest to people on this list.

Did anyone else get anything accepted? Please share!

Dear Open Knowledge Community,

Over the last few months we have received hundreds of terrific proposals 
for this yearâEUR^(TM)sÂ *Open Knowledge Festival 
<http://2014.okfestival.org/>Â *programme. Thank you for your ideas and 
your input!

There have been more sessions proposed than we could possibly 
accommodate and as a result, weâEUR^(TM)ve had the incredibly difficult 
task of whittling down all of those great ideas into a 3-day festival. 
It wasnâEUR^(TM)t easy, and itâEUR^(TM)s with regret that we 
canâEUR^(TM)t include every one of your great proposals in the final 
programme.
However, after this tough task of creating our final programme, 
weâEUR^(TM)re happy to be able to *give you the first glimpse of the
