Some of you may be interested in the resource guide on personal data and
privacy
<http://wiki.okfn.org/Resource_guide_for_personal_data_and_privacy> that
has just been launched on the Open Knowledge Wiki. It lists lots of
relevant resources and defines terms.
Privacy issues are becoming increasingly relevant to all the areas I
work in, so I'm sure others must be experiencing this too.
I often feel ill-equipped to answer questions (or even express a
committed opinion) on the topic - so this type of support is really useful.
If anyone has any resources to add then get editing on the wiki or let
Sally know - cced in here.
Thanks
Marieke

Dear all,
It was discussed at the open data & privacy workshop in June, and also
at OKFest2014 about the need to have a resource/communication guide on
personal data and privacy which will be a collation of all the available
material related to the topic area.Â
As such, I have pulled together the collection we have so far into such
a guide which is being maintained on the wiki ( you can find it here
<http://wiki.okfn.org/Resource_guide_for_personal_data_and_privacy>)!
It contains 3 major sections which cover the definitions of the
terminologies used in the space; the publications, guides, checklists,
and also electronic resources covering everything from anonymisation to
surveillance; and finally a list of projects, organisations and
platforms that are somehow connected to work in this area.
This is not a comprehensive list so it would be great if we can all add
up to the content as much as possible. Additionally, if you think there
is a need to revise anything, especially the definition of key terms,
please do flag it here so it can be done.
And of course, do share in your networks so others can find it and make
use of it.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Sally
