Dear friends,

We have been inspired by your work and we are publishing a book made by a
community of open models enthusiasts about open business models.

We made that book to support the hypothesis that it’s possible to make a
living and even grow a significant business using an open model and our
goal is to make widely known the result of our research (the digital
content is freely available through a CC-By-SA license).

We would be very honored to have your feedback on the book and we would
appreciate very much your support to communicate on the book (a tweet, a
blogpost, a short review, an endorsement). You may refer to
http://openmodels.fr/en/ and use #openmodels.

You can also join our thunderclap campaign http://thndr.me/hG5iXn

planned for September 21st.

The book is available here (http://www.slideshare.net/
WithoutModel/open-models-book-64463892) and you will find below the story
behind the book.

Should you like to have a printed version of the book, we would be very
happy to send you a hard copy at the postal address you use.

Cheers

Open Models, the story

In November 2013, about ten open model enthusiasts met up to pool their
understanding on the topic. After a few minutes of talking, they decided to
mobilize a larger panel of expertise and viewpoints and to distribute the
conclusions of their thinking more broadly. Six months later, there were 35
articles published, 8 events organized, 25 videos produced, 14 proposals
presented to the government.

A year later, Open Models is published in French, retracing this open
models journey. 18 months later, the book is translated into English by a
team of volunteers. All of this under CC-BY-SA license without orders or
financing. It is published by Without Model, a think tank whose mission is
to foster open, collaborative and responsible models.
