The Forschungszentrum Telekommunikation Wien (FTW) is a dynamic
company with an international atmosphere that carries out
application-oriented research in telecommunications. Our mission is to
fill the gap between science and industry, pursuing a challenging
research program in collaboration with both academic and industrial
partners. Currently we are hiring for the following position:

***Web and Semantic Technology Developer***

We are seeking for a developer for a highly knowledge-intensive
webportal in the field of energy efficiency and smart homes. The portal
is to receive, process and deliver information from and to different
channels, including sensors, mobile phones, third-party data sources
from the Web, and direct user interaction. 

The position requires:

    * Strong knowledge in developing interactive web applications
      (server-side frameworks as well as front-end toolkits based on e.g.
      AJAX and content management systems such as Drupal)
    * Very good proficiency in Java and JSP, maintenance of webservers and databases,
      Web languages (such as XML, HTML) and related tools
    * Knowledge of or a strong interest to learn Semantic Web languages (such as RDF/S,
      OWL, SPARQL) and related tools for large scale data management (e.g.
      semantic repositories like OWLIM)
    * Development experience for mobile platforms is a plus
    * Fluency in English
