First, thanks to everyone who worked on this document (!!), and to OKFN in general for strongly and consistently advocating that NC is not an open format - - that is so, so, so helpful and clarifying. <3
However, is anybody else confused by section 7 in the document, which is about using SA as a way to prevent commercial re-use in certain circumstances?
I think the clarity of this section could be improved regarding the ramifications of incorporating edited, as opposed to un-edited, CC-SA resources into compilation/collection/ derivative works. If I understand correctly, this affects whether the resulting resource is "infected", and needs to be released as CC-SA, or not.
(Also, there are a couple of typo's and grammatical errors in section 7.)
Thanks!

Subject: [OpenGLAM] Paper: Consequences, risks and side-effects of the license module “non-commercial use only”
Dear all,
In 2012, a group of German copyright experts [1] released in collaboration with Wikimedia the German document“Folgen, Risiken und Nebenwirkungen der Bedingung Nicht-Kommerziell – NC” (Consequences, Risks, and side-effects of the license module Non-Commercial – NC). In this document, they explain all consequences of choosing a CC license variant restricted to non- commercial use only (NC) and make clear why its usage is often not necessary and even a bad idea for artists and institutions.
Together with the OKFN community, we translated this document into English and the German authors have edited it. With the help of Wikimedia Germany [2] we were able to design and publish it.
Read more about this great piece of documentation here:

Thanks to all partners who made this possible, a special thanks goes out to Thomas Hirsch who translated the majority of the document.
All the best,
--
