Lead Biodiversity Informatician (Full time, permanent)
Biodiversity Informatics (BI) needs a lead software developer! This is an exciting time to join a newly established Biodiversity Informatics and Spatial Analysis Science Department at Kew. The post holder will provide technical oversight and expertise to science staff, stakeholders and collaborators, and will be expected to engage in, oversee and deliver projects of great impact to scientists, managers, users and stakeholders at Kew enabling them to work better through the application of modern, innovative solutions and technologies. The post holder will help to shape biodiversity informatics establishing it as a science at Kew and will be responsible for their own grant funded research project (BI) within a discrete area of a wider research programme.

Lead Developer (Web) (Full time, permanent)
Kew’s scientific vision is to document and understand global plant and fungal diversity and its uses, bringing authoritative expertise to bear on the critical challenges facing humanity today; online dissemination is crucial to this.The role offers an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to oversee the transformation of Kew science web pages and maximise the impact of our knowledge and data. Working with the Director of Science and the senior managers, the post holder will facilitate the disseminate of our scientific knowledge of plants and fungi, maximising its impact in science, education, conservation policy and management.

Content Digitiser - Plants of the World Online Portal Project (Full time, 18 month contract)
This is an exciting time to join a newly established Biodiversity Informatics and Spatial Analysis Science Department at Kew. The Biodiversity Informatics team is undertaking an ambitious new project to deliver an online global resource for plants: the Plants of the World Online Portal (POWOP). The project is high profile and innovative and the team requires a motivated, enthusiastic content digitiser to help us deliver.
