Dear Steven,

1. there are dozens of e-democracy initiatives there.
I have to check my database.

2. open data:
Thats the national platform in Holland. Send them
an Email.http://vrijedata.nl/2009/05/10/schrijf-mee/

Holland is not that bad in terms of open data since
- they are protestants
- and did some national initiatives.

******************

3. Its a pity that in most EU countries we could not find
a common denominator between two lobbying groups:
a) the PSI re-users (content- and multimedia-industry)
b) the open data community

Both are addressing the same goal, but have different priorities.

***********************

Note: take care on your belongings and laptop in Amsterdam.
Amsterdam and London are fully insecure, plenty of thefts
on the airport and in the busses.

kind regards,

Gerhard
