[open-government] Local Open Government events

Hi Daniel, all,

I like the way you used 'my' Google Calendar with open data events. I would
really like to open up the calendar up to others for adding events as well.
The way I currently maintain it is, that if I come across an event in the
line of my news editing work for epsiplatform.eu I add it to the calendar as
well. But it would be great if others are on the lookout for events as well.
Especially as there are many more events being planned these days than e.g.
For me personally it would have the added bonus that the calendar for me
then is also a way to find out about more events myself, so I know what
opportunities there are for writing news items for the epsiplaform.eu.

I wouldn't mind if the calendar actually became more cluttered with lots of
local events for instance, as it is an accurate reflection of what is going
on. By adding tags to the events it would eventually become possible to
subscribe to subsets of the calendar, wouldn't it?

So how do I go about opening up the event calendar for other editors. I
don't think I can completely open up a Google calendar, can I? So probably I
would need to add people by inviting them, and giving them editing rights?

Who would be willing to help do that?

best,
Ton
