Among other things we discussed potential input for OKFest and would like to propose the following three sessions / ideas:

Proposal for submission to OKFestival on the state of play and the future of the open government data movement and the Open Government Partnership

1. Proposal: A strategic discussion about the challenges of the Open Government Partnership (OGP)

The OGP is clearly becoming shape and relevance as more counties join. We notice a growing disconnect between the OGP process / debate and the Open Government Data Community. We would like to facilitate the exchange between these two processes / debates. We would like to discuss how the OGD Community and Civil Society Organisations can engage in the OGP process. 

The outcome will be a policy paper / recommendation from the perspective of the OGD Community to the OGP process. These recommendation would refer to the OGP grand challenges : 

1. Improving Public Services - measures that address the full spectrum of citizen services including health, education, criminal justice, water, electricity, telecommunications and any other relevant service areas, by fostering public service improvement or private sector innovation 
2. Increasing Public Integrity - measures that address corruption and public ethics, access to information, campaign finance reform, and media and civil society freedom
3. More Effectively Managing Public Resources - measures that address budgets, procurement, natural resources and foreign assistance
4. Increasing Corporate Accountability - measures that address corporate responsibility on issues such as the environment, anti-corruption, consumer protection, and community engagement 

It would be great if we could make this a community contribution to the OGP process!

2. Proposal: A workshop for Gov representatives on "What do Governments need to do open government / open data?" inside/outside OPG 

Session on 'Open Data in my country - How can my government commit?' There is a hesitation of a lot of countries (especially in Europe) to commit to Open Data in their country. We would like to provide a forum for discussions for government officials that will have the opportunity to meet with experts and practicioners from the Open Data community to share best practices - get to know more about Open Data and find ways to integrate it in their country's context. Government reps will get the chance to exchange on the initiatives happening in their countries- as well as getting an idea of what Open Data is and how it can improve for instance Public Service and finding the right people that can assist them in implementing Open Data initiatives in their country. This discussion will also look at chances and challenges for Countires to join the OGP process.

Next steps: identify Gov officials coming to OGDCamp and invite them

3. Proposal: Open Data ideas speed dating 
The idea would be to give people a forum to speak to each other and get better connected. The format would be having mini talks where people present for 5 minutes (like lightning talks) afterwards they stay in the room for questions and idea exchange. 

some of the participants might enter the speed dating with concrete ideas and problems so that they could use this opportunity to network with people that might be of help for their project/idea/initiative. 
participants would all need name tags with their occupation and if they have one problem/challenge
