[open-government] [OpenSpending] [sunlightlabs] MapLight Launches New US Money and Politics Data Set

Just a reminder: Sunlight offers itemized and aggregate contribution data
through our Influence Explorer project, its data download portal and its
API:

Although we're obliged to pass through CRP's CC-BY-NC license terms, that
should only apply to aggregate federal campaign finance totals -- we now
collect itemized contributions from the FEC directly.  We still need to do
some work to make it clear which API methods are license-encumbered and
which aren't. But if you have a need to itemized data before we do, please
reach out!
