The IEEE Special Technical Community on e-Government and the IEEE Computer
Society in collaboration with the IEEE Ecuador Section are pleased to
organize the IEEE Hack Ecuador Challenge 2015 (HEC´2015) as part of the
activities of the ICEDEG 2015.

This hackathon contest aims to promote the access to open data at the
different levels of the public administration in Ecuador. We encourage the
participation of students, entrepreneurs, and other creative developers
interested on hacking away software applications that will help to identify

We expect that the applications developed during this hackathon will have a
positive impact to engage and serve Ecuador's community,

solutions based on open data.
€ To create software applications that will attend actual necessities of a
sector of Ecuadorian society, community or city.
€ To promote the adoption of public electronic services among Ecuadorian
citizens and residents.
