**With apologies for cross-postings**
Dear colleagues,
Our 2015 EU Aid Transparency Review <http://roadto2015.org/progress> has
been published today. The main findings are:
1) That nine out of 16 key EU donors and institutions are still not
publishing their data on time and in detail, leaving recipient countries in
the dark about expected funding.
2) A group of leading donors continue to lead the way in aid
transparency (UK, Sweden, the European Commission, Denmark and the
Netherlands) but several key donors (France, Germany, Italy and Spain) are
off track from meeting their commitment to publish their information in a
comprehensive way by December 2015.
We’ll be discussing the Review findings tomorrow at an event we are
co-hosting at the European Development Days Getting the right information
into the right hands together with IBP, OGP and TI. For those unable to
join us you can follow the discussion on Twitter and pose questions to the
panellists using @aidtransparency and the hashtag #opendata.
This EU Review has been produced as part of our Road to 2015 campaign
<http://roadto2015.org/#home>, which several of you are part of. If you’d
like to join the campaign then please get in touch with my colleague Nick
Winnett: nick.winnett at publishwhatyoufund.org
I am also attaching a copy of our press release. Feel free to translate,
adapt and use this in your own markets. If you are interested in
coordinating communications activities, please contact our Communications
Officer, Katie Welford: Katie.welford at publishwhatyoufund.org
We’re launching a similar report for the U.S. on 1st July so more to come
in the next few weeks.
Best wishes,
Rachel
