Dear colleagues,
You are warmly invited to join us at the European Development Days (EDDs)
next week for an event that we are holding in partnership with IBP, OGP and
TI. Please find the invitation below.
I hope you’ll join us for a lively debate about harnessing open data for
development.
Note that you need to be registered for the EDDs in order to attend. For
those unable to join us in person, the panellists will do short interviews
that will be uploaded to the EU in the World
<https://www.youtube.com/user/EUintheWorld> YouTube channel. You can also
follow the discussion on Twitter and pose questions to the panellists using
@aidtransparency and the hashtag #opendata.
You may also be interested in a short documentary
<https://vimeo.com/opendata> we launched yesterday as part of our Road to
2015 <http://roadto2015.org/> campaign, highlighting the value of open data
in improving development outcomes. We hope you enjoy it – please do share
these among your networks and via social media. If you’d like to join the
campaign then please get in touch with my colleague Nick Winnett:
nick.winnett at publishwhatyoufund.org
Finally, there are just two days left to apply to work on our new Joined Up
Data Standards project. Details of the vacancies are on our website
<http://www.publishwhatyoufund.org/about-us/vacancies/>. Please share the
link with anyone you think may be interested in applying.
Best wishes,

This interactive panel debate <http://eepurl.com/bnfexH> will bring
together representatives from governments, international organisations and

provide examples of best practice as well as identify gaps in knowledge and
explore how different actors can and are using open and transparent
information for development and the challenges and opportunities they face.
