The JISC-funded ‘Supporting Data Management Infrastructure in the
Humanities’ (Sudamih) project would like to announce the release of
their ‘Researcher Requirements Report’, which may be downloaded from
http://sudamih.oucs.ox.ac.uk/docs/Sudamih%20Researcher%20Requirements%20Report.pdf

The Report has been compiled on the basis of interviews conducted with
researchers across the humanities disciplines at the University of
Oxford. It summarises current data management practices amongst
humanities researchers, and assesses demand for training and for the
development of a ‘database as a service’ – two of the key anticipated
outputs of the Sudamih Project. Although the participants in the
interviews are all Oxford-based, there is little to suggest that the
way humanities scholars approach data management here is very
different from at other UK Universities, so we hope that this report
will be of interest to anyone involved in research service provision
for the humanities, as well as to those involved in data management
and curation activities more broadly.

We welcome any feedback you may have regarding the report, or
questions about the Sudamih Project more generally.

The Sudamih website is hosted at http://sudamih.oucs.ox.ac.uk/

Yours,

James
