[open-literature] Wordpress Oddity

Dear All, again,

Does anyone know why wordpress will not render an 'e' with an acute accent
(é)? Despite my best efforts, it always turns the word protégé into an
unsightly mess of characters when I move from typing the article in HTML to
the published form on openshakespeare.org....
