[open-science] Publicising the Panton Principles?

Remixing a log is actually not remix, but a trademark issue. The cc
marks carry a very specific meaning - some rights reserved via
standardized copyright licenses, internationally - that is totallly
different from panton, which is not a cc project. even the creative
commons materials transfer agreements don't carry the
double-letters-in-a-circle mark.

trademark integrity is realy important in remix culture. this is why
it is important to distinguish copyrights from other ip rights - data
rights and copyrights are where remix authority and rights are
essential, not trademarks. otherwise you and i would be able to market
our own soda pop as "coke" and call it remix...
