Hi Jonathan -

The Polar Information Commons is a data sharing project led by a number of
leaders in the field using data from the most recent International Polar
Year. There are 2 options for badging the IPY data -- public domain under
CC0 or CC-BY-3.0 where necessary.

I'd suggest contacting Mark Parsons at the National Snow and Ice Data Center
in Boulder, CO.

Best,
K
