We have put forward sessions at Science Online London which are exploring
the idea of Open Research Reports (ORRs) - collections of Open material
(papers, bibliography, data) related to selected subjects - e.g. disease.

We are continuing this with a pre-workshop hackfest at SemWeb Applic. and
Tools for Life Sci http://www.swat4ls.org/ where we intend to continue to
create ORRs.
We think that ORRs are a very good way for people outside mainstream
academia to get involved as the literature is - by definition - Open. It's a
black mark for academia that so much of their output is hidden - we hope
that this initiative will help to change that
