As per Nagarjuna, who set up the BigBlueButton instance we'll be trying out
for the Asia-Pacific call:

"BBB currently has the limitation of dependence on flash. The developer are
working towards its dependence. with that hope we started using it. They
have moved audio to HTML5 using webrtc already. Hopefully they will do it
for
video soon."
Link to plans: https://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/HTML5

There are a few other calls coming up for which we can experiment with
different platforms!

Jenny

PS My own problem:
I'm using Crunchbang Waldorf and there is some issue with tawk and jitsi
obtaining permissions in Chrome/Firefox (I get the option in the browser, I
add permissions, it just keeps asking). The camera is broken but my
microphone works with most other platforms and through the Mozilla WebRTC
test platform so I haven't isolated the problem yet. It is probably
specific to my setup and I'll get there, so we can try them out on a call
I'm not hosting!
