Hi all,

We're back with our next community call
<https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-sep10-2015> this *Thursday,
September 10*. The call is open to the public and will start at *11:00 am
ET*. Call in details can be found on the call etherpad
<https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-sep10-2015> (where you can
also find notes and the agenda) and on the wiki
<https://wiki.mozilla.org/ScienceLab/Calls>. (If you have trouble with the
toll-free number, try one of the numbers at the bottom of this post.)

This month, we’ll be hearing about a few new takes on scholarly publishing.
On this week’s call, we’ll be joined by Konrad Hinsen
<http://twitter.com/khinsen>, who’ll be telling us more about ReScience
<https://github.com/ReScience/ReScience/wiki>, a peer-reviewed journal that
targets computational research and encourages the explicit replication of
already published research. We’ll also hear from Daniel Mietchen
<http://twitter.com/EvoMRI> how his new journal that seeks to publish
**all** of your research outputs, from your proposals all the way through
your data, workflows, and final publication. (More on the RIO Journal, here
<http://blog.riojournal.com/2015/09/01/all-you-can-publish-go-a-la-carte-with-research-ideas-and-outcomes-journal-rio/>
and here
<http://news.sciencemag.org/scientific-community/2015/09/new-journal-wants-publish-your-research-ideas>
.)

We’ll also be introducing new team members and speaking more about our
training plans for the fall. We hope you’ll join us.

Have an update, blog post or event you’d like to share relevant to open
science? Add it to the etherpad
<https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-sep10-2015> (see ‘Non Verbal
Updates’, line ~80). It’s a great way to share what you’re working on
and/or interested in with the community. Don’t be shy. Have a look at last
month’s notes <https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-aug13-2015>
for an idea of what others contributed to the conversation.

Mark your calendars, tune in and help us spread the word – everyone is
welcome. For call-in details and links to the etherpad
<https://etherpad.mozilla.org/sciencelab-calls-oct9-2014>, visit our wiki
page <https://wiki.mozilla.org/ScienceLab/Calls>. We hope you’ll join us.
