[open-science] Research Data Curation Bibliography Version 7

Thanks, Charles.

This raises another issue with respect to open licensing, ie in order to issue a whole work under an open license one must limit oneself to exclusively using openly licensed material.

This is a different kind of closure, whether self-inflicted or forced upon us through open license policy.

My concern with precedent for academic freedom remains, but taking into account this requirement I should add that in the Trump tweet scenario research could be impeded not only by Trump, but also by journal or funder open licensing policy.

best,

Heather

Heather:

Thanks for your comment. See the "Combining and adapting CC material"
section of the CC FAQ (http://tinyurl.com/zeen43b) for an explanation of
of how CC licenses can be combined.

The Research Data Curation Bibliography is under a Creative Commons
Attribution 4.0 International License
(https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) and, if others with more
financial and legal resources wish to expand it further, they can do so
under the terms of that license.

Charles
