Hi all,

this is a brief update on the planning of the open transport data stream at OKFestival.

See pad for details: http://okfnpad.org/OKFest-transport-track

We have discussed how the 3 parts of the stream relate to each other.

	• Part I. A round table with different stakeholders (PSI Sectorial Meeting)
	• Part II. A series of presentations, talks, workshop in the main OGDCamp program
	• Part III. Building the emerging open transport data re-use community

We also discussed their outcome. We agreed that for the Sectorial meeting it would be great to have an "open transport data manifesto" as outcome. In order to be able to get this done. The drafting of such a manifesto would need to be done beforehand so it can serve as input for the meeting, can be discussed, changed and hopefully signed by the participants.

The manifesto would be a short document as a political statement. It will not cover all kind of best practice recommendations, etc. However there has been the proposal of also start drafting an "Open Transport Data Handbook" as one of the workshop / hands-on sessions for Wednesday. I think both manifesto and handbook could be complementary.

Who is interested participating in drafting the manifesto?

Now there is also an urgent request from the OKFestival core organisers. They need us to add:

- Short description (100-150 words)
- Key speakers and/or key sessions (1-5 examples, 50-100 words description for each)
- Statements from Guest Programme planners (name + short quote (approx 50 words or less) + title/organisation + photo (small size ok - will be only used on webpage)
- List of all Guest Programme planners in your group: name, title + organisation, country

To the etherpad: http://okfestival.okfnpad.org/helsinki-website-material

Anyone to help with this?

Daniel

All best
Daniel
