Hi all !
We are currently working on drafting a Bibliographic Metadata Guide to
be distributed to anyone interested in storing bibliographic data into
a structured format.
We want to identify the various standards of metadata available for
the description of bibliographic works (literary, artistic, musical,
etc) and describe what are the pros and cons for each one.
We also want to identify who are the key players in the field, as well
as the standard they have decided to adopt and the underlying reasons
for that choice.

Feel free to add anything that you consider relevant (and eventually
fix some inaccuracies if necessary) !
