Nice account, thanks Mark

I think bibsoup is a nice catchall for the entirety of open data we can map to
BibJSON. The bibsoup could be incrementally structured in various ways, to
show things like personal bibs, library collections, journal runs, ... all under the
same roof. The scale of this may be hard to control and we may hit unexpected obstacles
to rapid growth. So I am reluctant to see too big a commitment to containing/indexing all the
data we can open up. OAISTER is a cautionary tale.
So I vote for bibsoup, but suggest just use it for now as an experimental aggregation service,
and not make too grand claims for its future.

I suggest add "bibjson" to the list openbiblio, bibliographica, bibsoup, bibserver
Would be cute to hyperlink each term in the heading to its place on the page.
When you mention BibJSON, please provide link to the most recent formal
spec http://www.bibkn.org/bibjson/index.html (this link should be on http://bibserver.okfn.org/bibjson/ )
As I mention this, let me add that this old spec is perhaps too heavy or detailed, it should be improved,
but there is some effort at the level of rigor to be expected in a format spec,
and I think most issues addressed in this old spec should be dealt with explicitly in revision of the spec.
Keeping a next version of the spec compatible with current bibserver usage and development seems important.
Where on the roadmap lies formal revision and republication of a new version of the bibjson spec?
