It's important to stress that bibsoup is not just another way of recasting
FRBR/BIBO etc (referee 2 hinted that we would run into all the same
problems). The key thing is that Bibsoup is aimed at creating an ecology of
communities - not an uberschema. Its success will depend on the ability of
local implementers to make their pot of soup compatible with their
neighbours - not necessarily the whole world. A community can agree to keep
things simple - a spec can't.

The *soup idea has elements of popular culture -
* food/drink metaphor like Java, jars
* everyday language like python, spam, eggs, etc.
* examples, like TeX Gnus, gnats, etc.

I think it would be a great idea to get some cartoons drawn (thinking of
TeX) Not my forte, but we should be able to get something by appealing to
OKF lists
