This is fantastic Ed.

I could get it running on my local machine after doing
  cpan install MARC::Record
and
  cpan install JSON

and then
  perl marc2BibJson.pl < small_sample.mrc > x.json

Gave a BibJSON file. Will play with it and see if I can fit it into
the framework.
